Loose Leads Dog Training provides specialised conservation-detection dog capabilities to support ecological consultants, environmental agencies, land managers, and research teams. Our dogs and handlers are trained to work efficiently across a range of environments and target species with accuracy, safety, and reliability.

• threatened species detection
• bird and bat strike carcass searches
• feral species monitoring
• scats, nests, or dens identification
• ecological survey support across varied terrain

We select dogs with the right combination of drive, stability, scenting ability, and environmental confidence, ensuring they can work safely and effectively in bushland, agricultural, industrial, and wind farm environments.

SUPPORT FOR ECOLOGICAL AND INDUSTRY PARTNERS

We assist organisations by providing:
• trained conservation detection dog teams
• handler education and on-site integration
• tailored training for specific survey requirements
• ongoing support for developing or expanding canine capability

FOCUSED, RELIABLE FIELD PERFORMANCE

Our dogs are conditioned to work methodically, ignore distractions, and maintain accuracy over long search periods. This results in more efficient surveys, improved detection rates, and greater confidence in field data.
