About

Based near Wellington, NSW, Loose Leads Dog Training services the Central West of NSW and can also arrange transport for dogs from outside our immediate area.

Before meeting your dog, we talk with you to develop an individualised training plan tailored to your specific circumstances. Everyone has different goals for their dog, and we will ensure that you get the results that suit your lifestyle.

Our trainers have diverse backgrounds in training dogs for security, family protection, tracking, obedience, and herding livestock, as well as in managing dog training kennels and animal shelters.
We are constantly furthering our knowledge, benefiting from the experience of a range of instructors specialising in training dogs for search and rescue, law enforcement, animal welfare, military, herding and dog sports.

By trusting us to care for your dog through an individualised board and train package, you will let us do the hard work of training your companion. Of course, to us, this 'hard work' is fun!

When your dog returns to you, we will teach you about play, motivation, reinforcement, timing, training adjustments, socialisation, pack structure, and proofing learnt behaviours. This enables you to both maintain the training your dog has learnt with our team and to further your dog’s training yourself.

Our Services
Board & Train
During their stay with us, your dog will learn to walk on lead without pulling, sit, and stay with a low to medium level of distraction. You will receive weekly video updates and when your dog comes home, you will then be taught how to maintain these skills with another personalised training session to follow!
Personal Protection
We offer personal protection training for those customers who demonstrate a genuine need. Owning a protection trained dog is a huge responsibility, so both you and your dog will have to pass a comprehensive assessment to ensure that you will be suitable to commence this training.
Courses & Workshops
We offer training workshops for community groups such as obedience clubs, welfare groups and Council Rangers. Our comprehensive Dangerous Dog Course is meticulously crafted to equip dog handlers within the Shire/Council areas with the essential skills and knowledge required for safe and responsible handling of high-risk breeds.
Lessons & Assessments
We offer personalised 50-minute dog training sessions on-farm or online, plus dangerous dog assessments, providing tailored behaviour guidance, practical exercises, lifestyle advice, and council documentation where required for owners everywhere.
LLDT Canine Services
We provide discreet, professional canine specialist services backed by over 20 years of experience.
From drug detection to search and rescue and conservation work, our highly trained teams deliver accurate, lawful, and reliable solutions wherever safety, compliance, and precision matter most.
